How do I list an item?
To list an item, message us on Telegram at @mychicchain_bot and follow the instructions provided by the assistant. Shortly after, our manager will reach out to you to clarify details and agree on a price. The item will then be posted on the website and the Telegram channel @mychicchain.

What type of items can I list?
You can upload any designer item that meets the following criteria:
ChicChain reserves the right to edit or remove listings that do not meet these criteria. We may also request proof of authenticity for items over €2000.

How do I prove the condition of an item before and after lending?
As the lender, please take a photo of the item within 24 hours before sending it out to document its condition.
If you find any damage when you receive the item back, take photos within 24 hours and share them with ChicChain via Telegram @chicchain.
Taking a photo on your phone automatically dates stamps it, providing peace of mind if there are any questions about the condition of your rental.

Who is responsible for dry cleaning?
It is the Lender’s responsibility to have each item dry cleaned before sending it out for another rental. This lets the Lender manage the process, determine the cost, and choose their preferred dry cleaner.
All items should reach the renter in the condition you specified. If there are any marks or stains, inform the renter immediately. The renter is responsible for returning the item in the same condition.
If the renter receives the item in poor condition, they must notify you with photos and return the item within 24 hours to be eligible for a refund.

When will I get paid?
Your payout will be released 2 days after the rental period or purchase is completed. You should receive the funds within 5 working days from that time, depending on your bank. All transactions are securely processed through our payment partner, Stripe.

What if the item does not fit?
Our policy lets you request a partial refund if the item does not fit. You will get a full refund, minus the dry cleaning and shipping fees. The dry cleaning fee will be credited to your account and can be used for a future rental at any time.

What if I damage or lose my rental?
As a renter, you are expected to handle rented items with the same care as your own.
We understand that accidents can occur, so we’ve created Damage Protection Insurance to cover minor damages and give you peace of mind while renting.
If anything happens to your rental, it’s crucial to inform the manager immediately. Prompt communication will help us resolve the issue quickly.
If you did not choose to pay for Damage Protection and the item is damaged beyond repair, lost, stolen, or if the repair costs exceed €50, ChicChain reserves the right to charge you the full estimated replacement value of the item.

What happens if my item is damaged during a rental?
Notify the manager about any damage as soon as you open the package. Always open your returns immediately upon arrival. Take photos and include them in your message. All damage must be reported within 3 days of receiving your rental back.
If the damage is minor and the renter has Damage Protection, we will cover up to €50. Be sure to keep receipts to send us once the repairs are complete! If Damage Protection was not purchased, the renter is responsible for any charges.
If the damage is serious, the lender needs to assess the extent of the damage. We will then contact the renter to request compensation. If the renter refuses, the case may be taken to court.
While we strive to provide support and guidance in resolving disputes between renters and lenders, please note that as a marketplace, ChicChain cannot assume financial responsibility for any loss or damage. However, we will do our best to assist you throughout the process.
Please remember that minor wear and tear is sometimes expected when lending items.
